You’re “the good one,” or “the rebel,” or whatever role got handed to you before you had a say in it. Nobody asked you.
Families are systems, and every system finds roles for its members that help keep the whole thing steady. The trouble is, those roles get assigned early, and they rarely leave much room for who you actually are underneath them.
Here, you get to talk about you — who you’ve been, and who you want to be — separate from whatever the family system decided about you a long time ago. Your privacy and autonomy are respected and held with care. What’s said in the room is yours.
Most sessions look less like an interview and more like an actual conversation.
